Missionaries

1. Larry Dinkins – serves with Overseas Missionary Fellowship in Thailand. Among many ministry tasks, Larry has become active in using and training others in an evangelism and discipleship tool called Simply the Story. During 2020, he completed a one-year assignment as Missionary-In-Residence at Dallas Theological Seminary, and is now back in Thailand. 2. Zach and Kathleen Habersang – have been accepted with Cru’s Valor ministry for an eventual assignment at Texas A&M University in College Station. There they will focus on evangelism and discipleship of ROTC cadets, midshipmen, and military veterans on campus. They have completed most of their training and are focusing this year on completing their support team to enable them to report to their assignment.

3. Jim and Susie Horne – serve with Christian Light Ministries in Kenya, East Africa. In addition to church planting and teaching in a large church in Mombasa, Kenya, the Hornes are very involved in Operation Give Hope (OGH), a ministry that provides biblical and academic education as well as basic life needs to school-age children from backgrounds of poverty.

4. Brad and Jamie Newport – serve with Shepherd’s Staff Ministries in Greece. Their work is focused on making disciples and helping to establish the church among the migrant/refugee populations in Greece and among the Greek people. Specifically, they are now working in the Eastern Aegean region of Greece on the Greek islands along the coast of Turkey. This is the window where the majority of migrants attempt to enter the EU. They have helped to create an alliance of missionaries called AMIRA (Aegean Mediterranean Island Reach Alliance) and their vision is to bring the call of the ancient church, the Gospel, back to these islands and see the Father establish a network of fellowships from Chios to Samos to Leros to Kos and down to Rhodes. Pray with them to this end. Reach them at Brad.newport@amiragreece.com or team.greece.aml@pm.me. Their website is amiragreece.com.

5. Maryellen Smith – serves with For the Nations Refugee Outreach (FTNRO) in Garland. Her primary ministry was teaching preschool and leading after-school programs and Bible studies for refugee children; but she is now transitioning to teaching 5th grade children in FTNRO’s new school.

6. E&V – have served as disciple-makers in Central Asia for thirteen years. In 2021, they moved to Germany to lead a media and discipleship organization. This ministry uses television, radio and social media, as well as in-person conferences and seminars to reach the same people that E&V lived and worked with.

“The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few; therefore pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest.”

Individual Care of Texas

A group from Rockwall Bible Church ministers to the residents of the Individual Care of Texas every Sunday afternoon. Currently there are several men from Rockwall Bible Church who each lead the service on a rotating basis. The services include music and a short message from God’s word.

Nursing Home

The second Sunday of every month a family from RBC goes to encourage the residents at a nursing home in Rockwall. A short service is held, several hymns are sung, and time is spent chatting with the people who live there.
